ELS/Boston Students Attend Boston GLOW Conference

ELS/Boston’s female students attended and participated in Boston GLOW’s Career and Empowerment Conference.
Boston GLOW is a non-profit organization that fosters opportunities for women of all ages to become empowered community leaders and active global citizens.
ELS/Boston students from Cameroon, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Venezuela discussed women’s issues and how these issues have impacted their lives. During the conference, the students attended sessions on confidence building, career planning, speaking with success, becoming entrepreneurs, and capitalizing on setbacks. Speakers from American Confidence Institute, Wonder Works Coaching and Consulting, EmVision Productions, among others, led the women in workshops focusing on their own lives and planning for the future.
The students were surrounded by powerful women from the Greater Boston area, all focused on ways to improve and enhance their lives and livelihoods. These young women were able to practice their English with native speakers in tangible and authentic ways.
